Forza scores every car on 6 ratings from 0 to 10. Here is what each one is telling you.
- Speed
- The top-end velocity the car can reach on a long straight.
- Handling
- Grip and composure through corners at speed.
- Acceleration
- How hard it pulls once it is already rolling.
- Launch
- Traction and drive off the line from a standstill.
- Braking
- How short it hauls itself down from speed.
- Offroad
- Composure on dirt, gravel and broken surfaces.
Common questions
What do the ratings measure?
Each car carries 6 scores from 0 to 10 in Forza's autoshow: speed, handling, acceleration, launch, braking and offroad. They describe the car in stock, untuned form, so a good upgrade path or tune can shift them.
What is power-to-weight and why compare it?
It divides a car's power by its weight, shown here in bhp per tonne. Two cars with the same power accelerate very differently if one is lighter, so power-to-weight is often a better guide to real pace than headline horsepower alone.
How do I decide which car wins?
The tool highlights the leader in every row and crowns a car in each verdict tile. Weight the categories that match your event: handling and braking for circuit racing, launch and power-to-weight for sprints, offroad for cross country.
Are the class and Performance Index figures exact?
Real-world specs like power, torque and weight are verifiable facts. In-game class and Performance Index are our estimates and are flagged where we have not yet verified them in game.
