Forza Horizon 6 treasure hunts

Treasure hunting in Horizon Japan is two things wearing one name. 9 treasure cars sit hidden on the map permanently, across 9 of its 10 regions, and they are yours the moment you find them. Separately, the Festival Playlist runs a treasure hunt most weeks that names a region, hands you a photo clue instead of a pin, and pays 3 points for the chest. This page has both, region by region.

How the weekly treasure hunt works

Read off every playlist week we have recorded, not from memory.

The Festival Playlist treasure hunt is named after a region and nothing else. You get a photo of the spot rather than a marker, so the job is to recognise the place from the picture and then go and smash the chest. It has appeared in 10 of the 14 weeks we have recorded, worth 3 points each time, which puts it among the cheapest points on the board once you know where to look.

It moves. In 4 series it has visited 9 different regions, so a hunt in your least favourite corner of the map is over in a week. That rotation is why the region matters more than the hunt: search interest jumps to whichever region is live, and the table beside this shows every one so far.

What we cannot tell you is whether the weekly chest sits on the same spot as that region's permanent treasure car. The two line up suspiciously well, since every region that has hosted a hunt also holds a treasure car, and Legend Island has neither. We have not confirmed it in game, so we are not going to state it as a fact.

Either way, the 9 mapped treasure cars are not seasonal. They sit and wait, so nothing on this page can be missed by skipping a week. Only the playlist points have a deadline, and those reset every Thursday alongside the rest of the playlist.

Also listed as treasure cars

3 cars our database records as treasure car rewards without a mapped location, because you can also buy them.

These sit outside the 9 above on purpose. Our map dataset has no marker for them, and the Autoshow is the route we can actually point you at.
